Everyone has heard of the “gluten-free diet” and celiac disease. But how did this diet rise to help people with an autoimmune disorder? This video explains the history of celiac disease and how it is detected in individuals. It also addresses what “gluten” really is, how it acts in individuals with celiac disease and misconceptions about the gluten-free diet. By acquiring scientific knowledge of celiac disease and how gluten works in our body, individuals can choose a healthy diet that suits their own nutritional needs, rather than following a gluten-free diet as a trend.
